More Whining

Remember the other day, when I complained about all the crazy stuff that happened to me, and a few of you thought I'd completely lost it? And Matt wanted people to give me a car?

Well, yesterday didn't go quite that well.

However, yesterday ended on a positively hopeful note, so don't alert the suicide hotline or anything, you bunch of mother hens.

I probably won't post details; it's pretty personal. I just didn't want to leave this space empty.

  1. Don, I'm sure your problems are nothing that couldn't be solved by us, your readers, giving each of your sons a full drum kit... ;)

we care THAT MUCH, bro! :P

  2. Actually, you only need one drum set. The other should get a poorly tuned electric guitar (with an amp that goes to 11). Then they could "rock" together.

  3. Hang in there! School teacher's trials are many and sometimes it seems like the whole snowball effect in one hour. Remember to look for joy before you get to school each day, because once you're there...can be hard to find.

Not too many people lining up to pat a middle school teacher on the back these days.

  4. 10%: GOOD CALL! I'm sure i can come up with a nice "learner" guitar, and a nice amp. Maybe some effects pedals...

Waddaya think, Don: do the boys want to be in music? >:D

  5. Why, thank you, Muse! How nice of you to say.

I sure wish some OTHER PEOPLE would leave comments, but I DON'T SEE ANY.

That's right, I said it, I'm ignoring you all.

    Starting, uh, now.

  6. Don't forget a trumpet. Many great bands have horn sections. I'm sure a neighbor's kid will step up.

  7. All musical kidding aside, I do know the trials of the middle school teacher. My lovely wife teaches 6th & 7th LA, 6, 7, & 8 Reading enrichment, & 6,7,& 8 dyslexia. Anyone who has that much patience can only be considered a hero.

Not to mention, that toy chainsaws work much better then any drum kit. At least they do for 3 year olds. Just ask my Brother in Law.

  8. I sympathize with you, Don... I know how days can consist of nothing but suck. Doesn't mean I'm not gonna pick on ya...

Besides... I like helping turn kids on to music (and the easiest way is to point out that it'll annoy their parents)...

  9. Is there anybody I could kill to make things better?

    You just let me know.
