Reasoned Discourse on the Examiner

Reasoned Discourse on the Examiner

A few days ago I posted a link to a rambling collection of words on the Examiner site.

This idiot, name of Clifford Bryan, thinks that crime in NOLA is a conspiracy by 'whitey' against blacks. Clifford Bryan is also a firm believer in Reasoned Discourse. After denying that he (Clifford Bryan) plagiarized Brady Campaign lawyer Dennis Henigan, he (Clifford Bryan) then deleted the majority of my posts including the one showing the comparison:

Clifford Bryan's post:

In defense over 80% of gun owners support extending Brady Act background checks to private sales at gun shows. Even most self-identified members of the National Rifle Association support handgun registration and mandatory safety training before purchasing a firearm.
Written 4 days after this:
But it is also true that over 80% of gun owners support extending Brady Act background checks to private sales at gun shows. Even most self-identified members of the National Rifle Association support handgun registration and mandatory safety training before purchasing a firearm.
Yet he (Clifford Bryan) states:
@Third Yes I deny it and I am upset you would call me out like that.I leave links to any material I use.

So he's upset he got caught. Wonder how much else of his 'writing' is original? This guy is the epitome of gun control activism. We need more like him.

  2. What's really funny is that he cutnpasted the "About Me" from my profile and claimed it was 'in my own' words when it is a quote from someone else and clearly labeled as such.

  3. Funny you should complain about having your post deleted...OMG the horror!

When, exactly, did you ever become a "firm believer in reasoned discourse"? Do you not also delete comments on your blog that you don't like?

Does the phrase "his house, his rules", or "the first amendment doesn't apply here; sound familiar?

Maybe a little self-examination is in order...tell ya what, you can start up a thread on "armed polite society", to vent your copious spleen (lol).

    Pot, meet kettle.

  5. Anonymous, you might notice a few things:

First, you're replying with indignant silliness about free speech to a post that consists entirely of a joke about me plagiarizing Thirdpower. See, I made a little funny about stealing 90% of my material from Thirdpower, so my next post was a copy and paste of Thirdpower's last post. See how it works?

Second, you seem to have missed something else--I am following exactly the advice you're throwing out to try to paint me as a hypocrite. His house, his rules . . . sure. This, on the other hand, is my house. If I don't like what someone does with his house under his rules, I comment about it here at my house under my rules.

Congratulations on not getting the joke and following up by not getting your own point. Get over being banned from THR or TFL or wherever it was, and get on with your life.

Alternatively, you could grow the stones to post your name and tell your story . . . but if you did that, I'd be able to find out what you actually did to get cross-threaded at TFL or THR, and that would be less flattering than "I was banned because the right-wing Rethuglicans and/or left-wing DemonRATs who run that forum can't stand free speech."

I do want to thank you for your loyalty as a reader, though, since you apparently got into a snit over forum policy years ago and you're still reading my blog.
