Got a Moment to Help Out?

Days of Our Trailers has a handy link to an easy email form for Governor Quinn. It would be great if you would give him a call, a letter, or an email asking him to sign HB-182, the bill that explicitly makes it legal to possess a firearm on someone else's private property as long as you have their permission.
If you're not from Illinois, it may take you a moment to wrap your head around that one, except you people from Massachusetts and New Jersey; you've always sort of gotten Illinois laws in a way few Texans or Alaskans can. But I assure you, it's a real bill, and it is necessary. We had a wacky court decision recently that found that a man who brought his gun along while he was house-sitting for his mother was committing Unlawful Use of a Firearm--and her permission didn't matter.
