Here's something you've probably never seen before: one guy defends the Catholic church, one guy defends atheism. Why haven't people done this sort of thing before? It feels awesome to break fresh, new ground.
But I still want you to go read it at
Radio Free New Jersey.

Don,
Now that I see you've pointed others to our disucssion I promise I'll respond to your comments a little more promptly.
Best,

Don't worry about it. I'm sure your comment section will shortly be flooded with what I call a "Don-a-lanche."
It looks a lot like not getting hit with a Don-a-lanche, actually, but it's the thought that counts.
I posted about 50% of my response over at my blog, and will follow up with the rest as soon as I'm able. If you could hold back your subsquent re-re-response until I get both parts up I'd appreciate it.
Thanks,
Tom
Yeah, that's fine. I'm just winging it here. I don't think anybody's reading it anyway.
I found that book, by the way, but I'm not sure what good it's going to do. It sounds like he's going to argue that Christianity was a key influence on Western culture and gave it more positive characteristics than negative. I don't really have an argument with that.
Final comments posted. Thanks for your patience.
