Earth Hour 2009

I don't want anyone to get the wrong idea about "Earth Hour" last night--I'm pretty sure my lights were all off at the appointed hour, but I was at the movies with my family.

I can tell the rest of you must have had a big impact, though, because today I have 6" of snow on my walks.

On my birthday.

Which is at the end of March.

Thanks a lot, jerks.

Wasn't me, I swear.

I turned on two extra lights, lit the wood stove to put particulates into the air, and watched TV for the first time in months, just to celebrate our ability to do so. The house was warm, and aglow with welcoming light from incandescent bulbs.

I even cracked the valve on a propane tank, for a few moments. :-)

Earth Day? What was this "Earth Day"? Was somrthing supposed to happen? Was I supposed to do something?
I was at home, enjoying a nice evening with my family, dinner, TV and/or a movie. Maybe some shopping later in the evening. I didn't see anything special going on.

Relax, Earth Day isn't for three weeks yet. This was Earth Hour, in which we all turn off our lights for one hour, because electric lights are unnatural and bring anger to the All-Mother's heart.

BWAaaaaaHaHaHaHaaaaaaa!

See what you get for going along with the agenda? I cooked a pizza (and even made sure to leave the oven light on), and we're fine.
